GPS LifePlan

Getting Started

Whether you are a student or someone who works with students, the GPS LifePlan can be a valuable tool for you. This program aims to provide a structure for students to define their goals and helps them establish plans to meet those goals. There are three major components to the GPS LifePlan:

  1. 1) The web-based GPS LifePlan tool
  2. 2) An electronic portfolio - eFolio
  3. 3) Campus activities and events

For optimal success, all students engage in all components. If that is not possible, this web site can be a valuable stand alone-resource and all are encouraged to use it as it best fits their individual needs.

The GPS LifePlan is designed to be an individualized program and each student's experience will be as unique. The GPS LifePlan has no pre-established starting or ending place. Rather, each student should determine what areas are or most interest/benefit to him/her. Students may work on one plan at a time or may be exploring multiple areas simultaneously. And it is likely that students will revisit certain areas as their situations, needs or wants change.

GPS LifePlan is a highly interactive program. There is a basic structure and format provided but each student's experience will be unique and he/she can decide how to make it work for them.
